Lou has been a professional Bassplayer since 1989.  Between 1995 and 2004 he toured with one of Germany’s most respected Blues band „Master Charge feat Matt. Walsh“ through Europe and played more than 800 shows all over the continent.

Lou's statement about the SH BCP-3:

„I tried hundreds of different pickups in the search for the ultimative sound on my 68 Jazz Bass. The results were frustrating, somewhat useful but none of them satisfactory. For some reason, I returned the instrument in its original condition.  Then a friend came up with Shadow’s cable preamp SH BCP-3, I tested it right away on my next show and I suddenly got what I was looking for all the years: With the SH BCP-3 the sound of my 68 Jazz Bass received a real overhaul. Now I get a full sound with warm bass, strong mids and clear trebles.

With the simple operating controls lots of different sounds can be called up easily. And all this without any installation trouble or modification of the instrument – just plug and play! The SH BCP-3 enhances the sound of each bass, that has passive pickups."

Today Lou teaches electric and Upright Bass and plays as a freelancer of many different styles of music. With different projects like big bands, theatre productions, musicals or Rock`n`Roll bands, he plays European tours as well as club-gigs in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Scandinavia, Belgium, France, Italy, Netherlands, Greece, and so on….
