Award winning, critically acclaimed Rock/Jazz Fusion. This is the Travis Larson Band. Since 1996 Travis Larson (guitar), Jennifer Young (bass), and Dale Moon (drums), have delivered their passionate instrumental creations to guitar fans everywhere, and the music world has taken note. Beginning with their 1998 self-titled release (JPF Music Awards “Best Instrumental Rock Album”), continuing with 2001's Suspension (featuring Grammy-Award winning bassist Victor Wooten) and the 2003 DVD Rock Show, TLB has steadily garnered rave reviews at home and abroad.
Travis about Shadow's SH 075: "I've been using the SH-075 for over 10 years on stage and in the studio. It's very simple to use and extremely versatile. The SH-075 is a great piece of gear!"
And now the release of Burn Season, the band's third full-length CD. Featuring the standout songwriting and intricate musicianship that has set the band apart, Burn Season is drenched with the type of inspired performances and blissfully textured songs that have become TLB’s stock-in-trade. This time out, the Travis Larson Band has collaborated with guitarist Steve Lukather (Toto, Los Lobotomys), Vinx (Sting, Herbie Hancock, Branford Marsalis), and artist Hugh Syme (Rush, Aerosmith), each of whom add magical touches to an already stunning album. Burn Season’s twelve songs represent a broader range of textures and dynamics than ever before; the album runs the gamut from heavy riff-rockers to intricate progressive masterpieces to layered and lush ballads, and even features a vocal selection (a first for TLB).
The same meticulous attention to detail that TLB puts into its albums is equally present each and every night on stage. The band is best experienced in the live setting where all the sweat, intensity, chemistry, and commitment are in full force. The Travis Larson Band’s dedication to the audience has endowed their live shows with the same sonic excellence and clarity that is heard on the releases, and definitely makes them an act to catch.
